The United Nations

Below are short essays I have written on the subject of the United Nations. Dated essays originally appeared as Random Musings on the IMNSHO Home Page on the date noted.

July 26, 2006, morning.  What good is the UN? It only seems to serve as a forum from which to launch verbal attacks on the U.S. and Israel. The UN is certainly not about world peace. Just ask the people in Darfur. It is an over-bloated and corrupt organization that sucks money out of its member nations, especially us, to accomplish very little very inefficiently and ineffectively. It is led by a corrupt little anti-Semite named Kofi Annan. Mr. Annan has called for an investigation into the deaths of four UN observers in southern Lebanon. Well, I have news for Mr. Annan, a lot of people are dying in Lebanon, and a lot more are going to die. It is not a safe place. We do not yet know who blew them up. There is a lot of ordnance flying back and forth there, but Kofi Annan already knows the results of the investigation he requests. Israel deliberately targeted the UN. The Israelis blew them up on purpose. It sure instills confidence that the head of the UN is quick to pre-judge Israel, just as he is prejudiced against the United States.

How Do You Spell "Corrupt Socialist World Government"? U-N

The United Nations was an interesting experiment that has failed. The UN has no credibility and no mechanism to effect positive change in the world. It has no track record of bringing peace or protecting the innocent anywhere. The UN has an overabundance of greedy appeasers who maintain and expand support for socialists, communists and tinhorn dictators everywhere. The UN has  complete contempt for capitalism and free enterprise. The UN wants to impose  worldwide socialism, with the rich countries footing the bill. The UN's basic structure is fatally flawed. When dictators, totalitarian regimes, and governments practicing genocide are placed on equal footing with republics representing free people, no justice can be found, and no peace will result. It is time to withdraw from the UN.

I strongly recommend a visit to the Center for Individual Freedom's UN Monitor.
